OUR HISTORY

In 1991, Minirth Meier Clinics opened an office in San Diego and operated as a Christian psychiatric group with outpatient offices throughout the country.  Several clinicians in San Diego were invited to join the group as independent contractors. In 1996,  Minirth Meier Clinics merged with New Life Clinics and operated under the name " Minirth Meier New Life Clinics – West."  After New Life announced they would close all outpatient clinics, the clinicians decided to form a new entity that was self-governed and incorporated under the new name "Lighthouse Psychological Services."  Dr. Daniel Jenkins became the clinic's Director and Owner by assuming all legal, financial, and operational obligations. Lighthouse Psychological Services (LPS) has been in full service since July of 2000.

Our mission is to provide psychological services that are tailored to the needs of the Christian community.  We believe that Church affiliation promotes trust, rapport, and the security of common values.
